Mono

I've been sick with Mono since my birthday...
Happy Birthday to Me :(

It is the worst sickness I've ever experienced. It's even worse than the flu--and I once had the flu for a whole month! I can't believe how exhausted I've felt. I've been sleeping at least 12 hrs every day. I think the couch is going to have a permanent imprint of me if I don't get better soon!

Travis was also sick, but he recovered quickly. The house was a MESS with both of us being sick, and I cannot Stand a messy house. I tried cleaning a few times, but the exhaustion was too much for me to handle. Since Travis has been feeling better, he started cleaning the house today. He's also been taking care of me by cooking my soup & shopping for kleenex & gatorade.

I'm so glad that in our marriage we have a partnership. He steps up to help any time I ask & usually I don't have to ask first. Even when I'm not sick or busy, he always helps keep the house running (laundry, dishes, floors). I know quite a few couples who don't help each other with their "designated roles." It seems like such a shame to me when I see how they are lacking the experience of being that kind of a blessing to each other. Travis is such a blessing to me in so many different ways. I hope he thinks I'm a good helpmeet as well.
